What happened?

i tried to reach you on discord, but it seems your not there anymore.
i got a new server and run the latest AD on docker. i try to get the old AD-AD plugin to work with new AD, but im not really succesfull. a lot needs to be changed.

i was hoping that you somehow can help me out to rewrite what odia created back then, or can tell me if there is an up to date version anywhere to be found.

Hi Rene - hope you are well.

This was Odia's project and he never finished it, it never became a part of AppDaemon and I don't even have the code. Maybe Odia would be able to help you with that?

hi Andrew, yes im well, hope you to. thx for responding. Odia doesnt have it on his repos anymore.
i havent spoken with Odia for a long time. last time i spoke to him, he wasnt really using AD anymore as far as i remember, thats why im reaching out to you.

i got the code from back then which is working with 4.0.6 (so i can share it)
but newer versions from AD dont except that.
i did some changes in the init part and got it working for some part, but not completely.
thats why i was hoping that you would have the time to look at it together with me, so that i can refactor it to get it working again, because you and odia are about all the people i know that ever worked with plugins.

off course i could use a docker with an AD version that still works with the plugin, but it would mean a lot to me if we can get it to work with the new AD again.

ill also try to reach out to odia.

i got lucky. Odia just got back on discord 2 days ago and is willing to help.

OK great - I'd be interested in including it in AppDaemon when you get it to a stable state.
