The tests leveraging maven-plugin-testing-harness are suffering from the problem described in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MNG-5440. That should be fixed by upgrading the sisu plexus dependency to at least 0.3.2.

could you verify if 3.4.0-SNAPSHOT is still affected?

It's based on Maven 3.2.5, based on description in linked issue it should be fixed with Maven 3.3.9 - how here our plugin should be changed?

It was rather a bug in Maven itself, project use all Maven artifact as provided dependencies.

So correct Maven version should be specified in project which use this library for testing.
