GnuPG has a card timeout issue that has remained unresolved for a decade. This causes the smart card implementation that GnuPG relies on to never disconnect the power to the smart card, which in turn causes the smart card to remain usable after the initial PIN entry until it is removed.
Due to the limitations of JavaCard, smart cards cannot recognize the passage of time or user touch. 、
Could an option be added to require the user to enter a PIN every time they sign/authenticate?
