Hi everyone! Juan here from the jwt.io team,
If you've used JWT.io recently, you'll notice things look different. We shipped a full UI overhaul, and it touches pretty much every page on the site.
The short version: we went through the community feedback on the previous design and rebuilt the interface around the things people actually complained about. Cluttered layout, hard-to-read validation messages, text-heavy actions that should have been icons. That kind of stuff.
Here's what changed:
The debugger is cleaner to work with. Validation and error messages are more specific now. Instead of vague feedback when something's wrong with your token, you get messages that actually help you figure out what happened. If you've ever stared at a "invalid signature" message wondering whether the problem was your key, your encoding, or the token itself, this should feel like an improvement.
Less visual noise. A lot of actions that used to be labeled with full text are now icons. The color contrast and typography got reworked too, so the whole thing is easier to scan, especially if you're switching between the debugger and your own code.
Navigation is simpler. Finding the debugger, the introduction docs, and the library list doesn't require as much clicking around. Small change, but it adds up when you're going back and forth.
The whole site feels more responsive. Transitions and interactions are smoother. It's not flashy for the sake of it, it just makes the tool feel less static.
If you run into issues, have suggestions, or just want to tell us what you think, we'd genuinely like to hear it. Open an issue, start a discussion, or drop a comment here.
Thanks for being a part of this community!
Please leave your thoughts about this new UI. What do you think?
Thanks
