When editing a file, it forcibly gains focus. I hope to configure this behavior so that it can decide whether to gain focus, allowing me to work on other tasks in parallel.

Oh my god yes please, I tell copilot to do something, but I still intend to use my computer to do stuff. For example I can modify other files, Or write the next message to copilot. Or use the terminal.

However, whenever copilot wants to write to a file, it physically opens the file on my screen and then changes it and the file steals the focus. So as I was typing something, I have now typed some characters somewhere into whatever copilot was doing. So I broke the build and then it's hard to go and fix it, because copilot will start opening other files, so I can';t even get back to where it was because of the constant losing of focus.

Just make it edit the files in the background and let me work with the files in the meantime.
