What version of the Modrinth App are you using?

0.12.2

What operating systems are you seeing the problem on?

Windows

Describe the bug

When setting a custom Java installation in the Minecraft instance settings, the Modrinth App gets stuck in an infinite Java verification/test. The verification never finishes.

However, if I run the Java test in the application settings (the page where you assign Java for all instances by default), the test completes successfully. The issue only occurs when testing Java in the instance-specific settings.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to the Library tab.
  2. Open an existing Minecraft instance.
  3. Click the instance settings icon.
  4. In the left sidebar, select Java and Memory.
  5. Enable Custom Java installation.
  6. Specify the path to the custom Java installation.
  7. Click the Test button.

Expected behavior

After clicking the Test button, the test should complete after a short time and display a result such as “Success” or “Failed.”

Additional context

This issue has existed for quite a long time (around a year). It also occurs on freshly installed systems with a clean setup. Еhe same problem has also been reported by a couple of my friends.
