💡 What: Replaced scandir() with FilesystemIterator in listProjects() (public/api/projects.php). Included try-catch blocks for unreadable files/broken symlinks when accessing getMTime().
🎯 Why: scandir() loads all file and directory entries into a single large array at once. By switching to FilesystemIterator, we use lazy iteration over the filesystem, which drastically reduces the memory footprint and CPU overhead when iterating over large directories containing hundreds of projects.
📊 Impact: Expected memory reduction scaling with O(N) where N is the number of project subdirectories. Faster initial read.
🔬 Measurement: Compare memory usage with memory_get_peak_usage() before and after calling the listProjects API endpoint with a large directory.
